Rotary axis Sorotec 5M-6-100A

For the experienced CNC milling machine operator, a rotary axis is something like a new dimension: seemingly endless new possibilities arise when the workpiece can be rotated in the machine. Engraving round surfaces, for example, to name just one.

The rotary axis was developed by Mecheltron exclusively for Sorotec. It is driven by one of the company's proven, in-house stepper motors, and a toothed belt drive reduces the rotation at a ratio of 1:6. For full-step operation, this results in an angular resolution of 0.3°. The stainless steel protective cover can be easily removed by loosening just three screws on the top, leaving all important parts of the unit easily accessible for setup.
