Stepper Driver Mecheltron DM556M digital
20 ... 50 VDC 0.5 ... 5.6 A
By purchasing large quantities directly from the manufacturer, we can issue these power amplifiers at a reasonable price without having to compromise on quality or features. We recommend the DM556M as a reasonable standard for the controlled power supply of axle drives in hobby machines.
Features:
- Supply voltage up to +50 VDC (recommended not above 45 V due to “back EMF”)
- Output current selectable in eight steps from 1.5 to 5.6 A (peak) using a DIP switch
- Automatic current reduction (in idle mode) to reduce motor heat
- "Soft start" - no twitching when switching on
- Input frequency up to 200 kHz
- Inputs optically isolated
- 16 microstep settings from 400 up to 51200 microsteps/revolution
(with standard 1.8° engine)
- Suitable for 2-phase and 4-phase motors. Undervoltage protection, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection
- Size: 118 x 75.5 x 25.5 mm (L x W x H) (without plug)
Product Description:
This stepper motor drive is capable of driving 2-phase and 4-phase stepper motors with optimal torque with low motor heating and noise. The operating voltage is 20 ... 50 V DC, up to 5.6 A (peak) current is possible. All microstep and output currents are configured via DIP switches. The DM556M is an ideal choice for applications requiring simple step and direction control of NEMA 23, 24 and 34 stepper motors.
